we received our 171-H today!

We went to dinner at one of our fav neighborhood restaurants, First Course, to celebrate.

our home study documents were sent to USCIS

And now we are just waiting for our 171-H.

recieved the first draft of our home study

We will return our home study draft. Our social worker will update, notarize and send to USCIS to begin processing for our 1-171H (approval to adopt an orphan) Next big steps 1) beginning our Dossier and receiving our 171H.

where are we at in our adoption process?

Had conversation with the program director to further understand where we’re at, why we can’t start the Dossier and what to now expect with some of the changes. She was great, informative, and patient. Learned we can’t start the Dossier until Feb. Was suppose to originally do in December, then pushed back starting until 1st week of January now it’s another month to start it. The delays begin….
