we have a lot of details we can't wait to share but we know why you're all here so we'll get some photos up now and tell you more later. she is such a sweetie. she weighed in at 9 lbs this morning, 22" long!
as of approx Noon RMI time the judge finalized our adoption and declared us the parents of Esme' Dee Helyne Howd. by the way, the judge grew up in edina. (for the non-minnesotans reading, edina is about 2 minutes from our house).

OH MY GOD! I've been waiting to see these pictures...for years! I am so happy she is finally yours! Simply amazing. She looks incredible and those eyes...so precious! I can't believe how small she is...such a peanut.

I absoutely love her! The photos are the best gift in the world! Thank you! You all look so happy and honestly Esme's little face is the cutest thing... her smile is amazing! It just doesn't get any cuter! I am so so happy for you all of you! Cohen decided he wanted to say his prayers suddenly while we were watching Pinnoccio last night (about the court date time) and he said "I pray for baby Esme and Matt and Kate and Max and I can't wait to see my little cousin." As if I wasn't already emotional thinking of you guys! It was so sweet!

Laurie and I are seriously sick with Esme' fever! We were just having a side bar email about how often we look at the blog and now the photos. Please find a way to call me whenever you can... I need to hear her in the background even if it is crying or just simply breathing! I love you all so much! Cohen is home with me today and we are analyzing every photo together. He laughs everytime at one of her with the big smile! I honestly can not believe the variety of faces she has from sweet, to funny, to just happy! I can tell she is loving you guys so much already. I actually squealed with delight when viewing these photos. People in the next row of cubes came running to see what all the fuss was about, prompting group squealing and much oohing and ahing. Are you #*$%&$ kidding me? She is ridiculous! I am beyond thrilled for you guys and simply cannot wait to hold that little pumpkin. Yay.
